Walking through the aftermath was heavy. Homes were reduced to rubble, hillsides were scorched, and the air still carried the weight of what had just happened. I started capturing what I saw—moments of silence, resilience, and raw emotion—and wrote down the things I couldn’t quite express through photos alone. It wasn’t just about documenting destruction; it was about telling the story of the people, the place, and the strength that remained. Sometimes, the most powerful stories are found in the quiet after the chaos.
